The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed regarding the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high variety more info of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of sassa status check infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The support level created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to permit the servicing of all customers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
